When pricing cakes I use a ‘per serving’ method based on the cost of ingredients in each flavour, and then may add on the cost of any hand make decorations or details. I certainly won’t hike the price just because you’re ordering a wedding cake, but beautiful hand made flowers do take time. Bearing that in mind, this price per serving guide can give you a rough idea of the cost of your cake.
Vanilla sponge-£1.20 per serving
Lemon sponge- £1.20
Carrot cake- £1.40
Chocolate cake-£1.50
Fruit cake-£1.60
